LG G8X ThinQ: Full Specifications

Built around a 6.4 inch FHD+ OLED display, the LG G8X ThinQ pairs a slim glass-and-metal design with hardware that still feels distinctly premium for its generation. It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, plus microSD expansion up to 2 TB, giving it enough headroom for everyday apps, media libraries and more demanding tasks. The rear camera system combines a 12 MP standard camera with optical image stabilization and dual PDAF alongside a 13 MP ultra wide camera, while the 32 MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. Video features are a notable part of the package, with 4K recording at up to 60 fps, HDR10 capture in supported modes and manual camera and video controls for users who like more input. LG also leans into audio, with balanced stereo speakers, DTS:X 3D sound support and its 32 bit Hi Fi Quad DAC for wired listening. A 4,000 mAh battery, USB C, wireless charging, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, in display fingerprint security, IP68 resistance and MIL STD 810G compliance round out a device that balances entertainment features with practical everyday durability.

Pros

  • Price: The LG G8X ThinQ is decently priced, with an affordable dual-screen option.
  • Performance: Users have praised the device's ability to run games and movies without compromised performance or overheating.

Cons

  • Audio: The device's external speakers are quite weak. We'd recommend using headphones to enjoy music.
  • Comparison: Although the phone is more portable and traditional than its dual screen model, it feels hard to not constantly compare the two. Overall, the dual screen version seems more desirable and innovative.
  • Glass back: The back of the device may feel slippery, and is prone to scratches. Make sure to get a good case if you purchase a new LG G8X ThinQ phone.
