Pathetic service- ripping people off

Telus Customer Service Struggle

Negative point: speaking to an agent and receiving a response is never easy with Telus. Just finding the right number is a challenge and I believe the company uses some form of customer service system that intentionally splits calls to discourage customers. Good price, but beware of verbal offers

We switched to a Telus family plan, via a door-to-door salesman. The price promised was not the price received. We managed to get the price after several emails and phone calls AND because we had recorded the conversation. Moral of the story: always ask for written confirmation

Ongoing Connection Troubles: Three Years

We have had intermittent connection problems x 3 years - dropping connection, etc. They have come out and troubleshooting occured several times - always a new theory as to why things are cutting in and out. Nothing has helped more than a short period of time. Need something more reliable.

Out sourced customer service

I spent almost 5 hours being bounced back and forth between agents to get an issue resolved. Telus was an Alberta based company and they grew too big to the point that they don’t care about providing decent service. I spoke with “support agents” in the Philippines, Guatemala and Morocco dealing with the same same issue. Whatever happened to employing Canadians?? This issue was for my son who is deployed with the CAF, I dropped them as a cellphone company years ago when a support agent in Guatemala asked me for my SIN number for their records. I’ve been to that country a few times and trust me when I say you don’t want to share that information with anyone in that country.
